At Seasons of Wonder Early Learning Academy, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder.
Wonder is the moment a child asks, “Why?”
It is building something just to see if it will stand.
It is hearing a new word in Spanish and proudly using it at home.
It is mixing colors, examining something under a microscope, planting a seed, kicking a soccer ball for the first time, discovering a new book or realizing, “I can do it myself.”
We created Seasons of Wonder to protect those moments while intentionally turning them into opportunities for learning.
Our program provides high-quality infant care, toddler care, preschool, Pre-K, Head Start and summer camp in Memphis, Tennessee, within an environment designed to nurture the whole child.
Here, children don’t have to choose between learning and childhood. We want coming to school to feel like a day at The Children’s Museum because we are intentional about incorporating learning in fun!
Seasons of Wonder was created from more than two decades of hands-on experience in early childhood education, leadership, curriculum development, and childcare administration.
Our founder, Brandy Monger Buffkins, began her early childhood education career in 1998 and has served children and families as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, childcare director, early learning administrator, consultant and childcare business owner.
Her career has included leadership within large childcare organizations, directing the St. Jude Early Learning Center, operating Great Expectations Prep Academy, and previously serving as Director of Childcare Operations at the Memphis Service Center.
Years before Seasons of Wonder existed, Brandy walked the halls of the Memphis Service Center as a childcare director and imagined what the program could become. Those ideas eventually became a much bigger dream.
In 2024, Seasons of Wonder Early Learning Academy became the childcare provider serving the Memphis Service Center campus, but Seasons of Wonder wasn’t created simply to operate another childcare center and instead was created to rethink what childcare could look and feel like.
